Infants and toddlers curriculum offers your child opportunities to set up his/her own "subject" for learning in Choice time. At the Hall room, they will choose their interest area, what materials to use and who to play with. During choice time, caregivers take this role:
- Pay close attention to children as they explore and play.
- Tailor actions and responses to follow children's leads and ideas.
- Engage in communication give and take with children.
- Support children's interactions with peers
- Use a problem-solving approach to children's social conflict.
- Offer older toddlers opportunities to plan and review.
- Encourage toddlers to put materials away after Choice time.
